We were recently interviewed by the folks at Aviation Industry News Online about our cool Drone Parachute business. Here is the article that resulted from the talk!
One of the key topics we talked about lack of support for Parachute integration by the manufacturers. Many (most) are simply ignoring this important safety system. On the highly integrated copters like the DJI Inspire, Phantoms and the Yuneec copters, there is no parachute ejection channel or capability at all. In order to eject a parachute you need to add a second radio system or a fail-safe device as well as provide independent battery power. Sad but true.
